Call me a shutterbug, I never leave home without a camera.
For a long time now, I’ve been thinking about creating a place to share the ever growing collection of photos that I take. Photos of nature, photos from my travels, and photos that capture life in general. Sure, I could use Flickr or other photo sharing platforms, but it’s not the same as having a showcase space of my own.
Enter Sparrow Tree Photography.
I gave a lot of thought to the naming of this blog and a light bulb flashed on in my head a few days ago as I watched the house sparrows in the tree outside of my bathroom window. Despite the awful weather we’ve endured this winter, the sparrows have been a constant presence in that tree. Their ability to survive and endure is awe inspiring. I think the photo below captures their fighting spirit rather well. Don’t you think so?
I’m still in the process of putting the website together and it will take a bit of time to finish flushing out the little details, but I felt the need launch this adventure now. The motivation is there, so I better not waste it.
Oh look over there, something shiny. Better go take a picture of it. Be back soon.
Ciao!
